Donald G. Wisdom (“Don”), CEO and Founder of The Wisdom Group has over 30 years of success as a senior executive in the commercial finance industry. He was most recently Executive Vice President of First Capital, a division of FCC, LLC. Don’s outstanding leadership capabilities are complimented by his knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by business in a wide range of industries. His driving desire to provide outstanding service, with integrity, to his business clients, has earned him the reputation as a problem solver. Prior to launching his commercial lending career, 30 years ago, he was President and Founder of Account Control, Inc., a business services firm that provided receivable management programs to regional and national companies. Having been on the other side of the desk from the Bank, he was always able to see the world from the borrower’s view. Don worked with different business owners during the double digit interest rates in the early 1980s and enjoyed being a part of their success in spite of the tough economic environment. His philosophy that, “loans are made to people and repaid by people”, provided the example his lending staff needed to help companies make it through the tough times. Prior to First Capital, Don filled senior positions with Commercial Credit Business Loans, Heller Financial, Inc., NationsBank Business Credit (“Bank of America) and Capital Business Credit. He managed lending operations for these companies in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and New Mexico.
